What’s your IGN?: reiachuu

What's your Discord Tag?: reinahh.

Do you have any alternative accounts?: TaxEvasionFraud

Do you have a functioning microphone?: I do and I am more than willing to use it at any moment deemed necessary whether it be meetings, events and so on.

How old are you?: I am currently 19 years old, 20 in a few months.

Have you worked in teams like this before?:

I have worked as an event team member and a staff member across multiple servers to platforms, so with that, I believe I have a multitude of teamwork experience varying from taking leadership positions for projects and/or being a team player; being able to support my fellow members to reach a common goal.

A few examples of this is when I had to lead and form a partnership team for a Minecraft server back in 2024, writing an official document that would guide new members of the team and work with them for the sake of the servers growth.

Another example is when around the year 2021-2022, I was entrusted with leading a faction with no prior experience, so as lost as I was, I relied on the current members of the faction to help me become accustomed to the lore, the rituals, and generally just worked together to improve and grow the faction as a whole team.

And lastly, I have been part of many different event teams to date but a common factor in all of them was that I could not have done it by myself. Creating and hosting events for the player base consists of many aspects where although it can be done alone, in order to fully produce an enjoying and involving experience, you need the opinions of others, different perspectives, and a extra helping hand for building or creating a written layout of your vision as well as managing the event when it is finally released to the players.

Do you have any previous experience?:

When it comes to writing, my experience is not as comparable to those who see writing as their hobby or a future career goal but I believe I have a fair share of well written pieces whether it was done out of free will, for school, or for the benefit of others. My most difficult yet fond projects have been creating backstories for my OC’s, writing news or journaling reports, or helping my friends and strangers with the production of minecraft roleplay scripts to ideas to post as content on their channels.

Though not limited to this, I have done a fair share of writing plans and layouts for events or projects where I had to make sure I was as detailed as possible but also clear so that I could be easily understood. Alongside this, for college, I was assigned many creative writing assignments or writing assignments in general where I had to follow a specific format such as MLA or for expository writings.

What do you believe is your writing strong suit?:

What I believe is my strong suit when it comes to writing is any piece that I have to do research for or have supporting information to help formulate my ideas onto paper or any typing softwares. I hold my creativity high but my thoughts tend to be indecisive, so for the best results, I believe I do best when I have something to work off of whether it be a newspaper of a historic event or prior experience in the genre or topic.

Why are you interested in joining the Lore Team?:

I hold the lore team in high regards in that they are basically what shapes the environment and setting of Norowarejima where without a story or even the smallest form of context to follow, how would the players have known that they’d be residing in a ghost island? Maybe if they knew what Yurei and Jima are translated to, but besides that, what makes the island a ghost island? Is it a ghost island because there’s barely any people or is it because of the “so-called” spirits? What type of spirits are there and are they naughty or nice?

There’s a lot that goes into creating a story and timelines for the player base to follow so that they can use said information to develop their characters and how they want to go about connecting their character with the island. I wanted to be part of this developing process and help where I can so that no part of the island is left unwritten about.

There is so much potential and writing opportunities that I’d like to be able to give my own creative thoughts for the sake of the player base. I’m no stranger to writing lore or backstories so this opportunity wouldn’t feel unfamiliar to me but I also hope to use this chance to become a better writer as well. I see the team as basically the parents of the server who all work together to co-parent a child as well as island so that it grows into what we can all be proud of and hope that whoever comes to interact with said island, will enjoy their experience of learning about all there is to it.

How did you learn about the server?: I learned of this server from someone I had met from a separate server.

What unique contributions can you bring to the server?:

I see my past experiences as a massive part in what I can contribute to the server. As I’ve stated before, I have been part of many teams that have helped me grow a few of my current skills or have helped honed me into who I am now. I hope to become someone that can be trusted to take leads on projects as I have had many leadership experiences; forever grateful to those who allowed me to take on the responsibility of said projects.

I have experience working on lore for a past shrine opportunity so I’d be more than willing to work alongside the coordinator and any other team members to develop the monastery, that is if it has not already been written for. In the past, I also was entrusted to play a mischievous ghost that haunted the school and led kids towards a path of trickery and evil in a different minecraft server but it was up to me to fully develop the character over time. My character was one of many other spirits and ghosts around town and it was enjoyable to see how each character would become a piece of history. I hope this experience will allow me to help the team create characters and spirits that will live on through history; really giving into why the island is called a ghost island.

As someone who was part of an event team a few years back, I got to work alongside a lore team member a few times and even helped write a few things for them and the players, so in a sense, I will not be fully new to the process. I take pride in everything I do or make but also hold very high standards and expectations for myself so that I only produce the best of what my abilities can procure because not only will I be showcasing my work to others that will stick for years to come, how can I improve as a person if I do not push myself to improve.

Write a short story of a Self-Made Yokai you can find roaming throughout the island:

A warm hot day as the cicadas sang a forever tune amongst the trees. Youthful laughter and joy rang throughout the neighborhood, this sound pin pointed to a local daycare filled with colors of the rainbow. A mature, deeper toned feminine voice was heard amidst the laughter calling for all the children to head back inside.

A warm hot day, everything seemingly perfectly fine, now a fiery pit of screams and smoke. This was the birth of a Yokai named Gūwa. Only showing her appearance to the young and astray as her heart was filled with regret and remorse for the children she couldn’t save. Her tale, now a minkan denshō (Japanese Folklore), told to the kids far and wide to keep them from misbehaving or from walking too far from their guardian. No matter if it is a bright day or a cold night, Gūwa is always just a few steps away.

Her silent strides would approach the unknowing child.

“Are you lost sweet one?.. Hold my hand, I’ll guide you back”, said the tall fair lady dressed in black with tears that were never ending.

There was a warmth to her, something that would make you feel safe, so without hesitance, her victims never questioned her sullen cheeks and if they did, force was always an option but her tears would only flow heavier streams. With every step, the surrounding air became hotter and hotter, her grip now tightly holding onto the victim's small hand, until safety was finally in their sights. The children, every last one of them, always eager to finally leave the fair lady due to the immense heat and aches within the bones of their palm, would only cause her to become enraged.

“I’m.. sorry, I’M SORRY”, as an agonizing screech rose from her bowels. “IT BURNS”, her anger having turned into a hellacious fear.

Her tears now evaporated as her limbs would grow and reach across all sides of the child, encasing them into a ball and hugging them tightly before her body would burst into a ball of flames, only leaving behind the acidic scent of smoke.

Gūwa, has failed to save another once again.

How would you write the atmosphere of the image provided below? (Byakuyakoku Shinto Monastery):
(Must be at least 200 characters long, describing the characteristics, atmosphere as well as including some personal ideas about Byakuyakoku.)

The rigid air swept beneath your nose where a winter wonderland flourished atop the earthy green and creaking boards of spruce. The scent of freshly made green tea wafted through one of the windows of the chashitsu (Tea Room) into the soft breeze, luring you towards its siren call.

Every step resonated within the pavement as not too far off into the distance, subtle grunts and thumps could be heard. The closer you got, the louder the sounds projected and became clear. Your sights laid eyes on two men dressed in keiko-gi’s, gracefully swinging their shinai’s and sparring with great force. They take a notice to you before you all respectfully bow towards one another, proceeding to get back into their sparring stances right after.

Atop the pristine and cleanly kept stairs leading towards the saisen-bako, a ring of a bell and then two claps catches your attention. You decide to make an offering and prayer, only walking on the right side of the stairs to maintain the respect and peace with the Kami’s. On your journey following along the green tea scent once again, glowing fireflies shimmered only to be found out that they were candles set in an array of positions. It was peaceful yet an unforeseen breeze dared to blow out the light leaving an ombre of darkness. The leaves behind would whistle with the wind as an eerie feeling was left in your heart. Slowly, the candles began to relight themselves one by one.

Finally, you find the source of the sweet scent and decide to walk beneath the shimenawa where a light feeling overcame the darkness that grew when the candles went out. The interior was organized with neatly set tatami mats that were clearly seen to have not been used yet. The steam from the kyusu teapot danced side to side almost bringing you into a trance. Looking back at the tatami mats, you notice new indents that you were sure were not there before. Slapping yourself back to reality, the indents disappeared, but peculiarly, you only felt warmer and safer. The now roaring winds outside belted a hefty growl, but there was no fear, only a sense of protection.

You have been tasked to write an in-lore influential character in the history of Norowarejima. Who and what would you create? Provide some insight on the character!:
(e.g., A previous Journalist from 30 years ago named Nagasaki Itto).

The previous Emperor Masayoshi has now recently deceased, this was the calling of a new High Priestess that would be chosen by the next ruler, Emperor Taiyō. Emperor Taiyō had a daughter named Princess Miafumi who was chosen by divination to take on the duties of the past Saiin.

For Princess Miafumi, the ancient “bokujo” divination was performed before she was selected and identified as the next worthy candidate. The ancient “bokujo” divination consisted of burning a tortoise shell and the cracks that would form were used to interpret the Kami’s will, choosing the next candidate in the process. At the young age of ten of the early 1200’s, Princess Miafumi became “Shiroi-Shi no Saain”, the Priestess of the Shiroi-Shi Shrine and began undergoing her purification.

High Priestess Miafumi later became known as “Hakushi Hime”, otherwise known as, “Princess of the Emptied Mind”. It’d be an understatement to say how much the princess rebelled against the Kami’s will and despised the idea of becoming the next priestess, almost facing punishment for her actions. Princess Miafumi was unlike any normal princess; wild, outgoing, and adventurous. She’d come to hate the idea of being forced into a state of calm, peace, and doing what’s best for others instead of herself.

Her purification process wasn’t easy and took a mental strain on her body and mind where any bit of energy that she used to have, was now gone, and in doing so, became “Hakushi Hime.” The vibrant and loud girl had left, leaving behind a respectable young lady with flowing long raven hair and honey jeweled eyes that glistened in the sun. Her brows would never furrow and her lips would never dip down.

She was to stay pure, never to act on her own convictions, and to remain the peace boundaries between the imperial family and the Kami’s. Once every year, High Priestess Miafumi is tasked to perform various rituals and acts at the Shiroi-Shi Festival in order to satisfy the deities above. Although she performs her duties with utmost importance, her longing for freedom never dwindled.

After many long years of being the imperial family’s Saiin, Emperor Taiyō’s life was taken during an ambush at sea. This was the end of our Hakushi Hime’s never ending mental torment. Just like every other reign, a new Saiin would be chosen and Princess Miafumi was to return to the palace. Her habits as a Saiin were hard to recover from but now at the age of thirty, she began pursuing every dream and goal she’s ever had or thought of, making it a point to live her life to the fullest.

Her niece, Princess Suzume was chosen as the next candidate to pick up the duties and tasks the past “Hakushi Hime” left off on.
