How did you learn about the server?
A lot of people I've roleplayed with in the past have said a lot of good things about this server, and so I decided to check it out.
Why do you wish to become a beta tester?
I've followed the server pretty closely throughout its development, and seeing everything, it's shaping up to be. I have to admit I got quite excited. The roadmap has been exciting to look at, and seeing all the new features and systems added proves to me how much potential there is for YRP to grow into something bigger than the multitude of servers that have come before. I think the thought that you guys are putting into even the smallest of details is really impressive. Adding immersive fall damage and a small cutscene when trying to swim out of bounds really works to add to the immersiveness I aim for when I roleplay. Another reason would be the community that's built up around this server. Now, I have to admit I haven't interacted much on Discord, but I see a lot of names I recognise. Names that I relate to good roleplay and positive vibes.
Though the primary reason is that it's been a long time since I last was a beta tester, and I miss it. Being there every step of the way, every milestone gives a great feeling, and getting to help the server develop alongside the team doing all the hard work is just enough commitment for me. I'm not well-suited for development or taking charge. I find I have too many ideas and too little ambition to turn them into reality, so I gravitate towards offering my input instead. To get the chance to have others help create a roleplay that we all can enjoy.
What do you expect to do once the server releases?
There are many things I'd look forward to doing on server release. I'm still not sure what all the factions entail or how they integrate into the world, so I'd probably want to check a couple of them out. From what I can tell so far, the CombatRP system is built up really well and seems to offer more positive opportunities for the people who do CrimeRP, so I will be sure to check that out as well. Truthfully, I'm not sure what to put here, but I am hopeful that this server will be everything I think it has the possibilty to become, so I think the best thing to do is just take it as it comes. We'll see what I feel like getting up to once the server is open for everyone.
