[DISCUSSION] Norowarejima having Okinawa vibes

Norowarejima is giving Okinawa vibes but more spooky and even more spirit infested

Is it just me? What do you guys think?

Personally I feel the same vibes, except the whole... US Military presence on the island, but since one of my characters will be a serviceman, it feels incredibly in line.​

I think Norowarejima is a lot more temperate, given all the pine trees, but beyond that I don't think it's a bad comparison when you're just looking at the urban areas (minus the military presence, obviously, and the sheer scale of Naha and Okinawa City.) The closest comparison to my take on the nature is probably Sado Island, which is a fair bit northward by Niigata Prefecture, but in return, its "urban" areas are practically non-existent...

To be Okinawa, it simply needs more white concrete .........

(Though to be fair, we do need to see more of the urban part of Norowarejima before coming to a conclusion like this)
