Introduction
Below, you can find all the information needed to properly apply to the Yurei Jima RP Lore Team. The information provided is subject to being updated and/or changed once YureiJima announces its official release. If you are unsure or need help with applying to the team or just have some questions about the team itself, contact the Lore Coordinator, @D0MINEER. You are also required to be within the Discord Server to apply.
What are we looking for?
Do you have a passion to write? From spirits that reside, writing the lore on the construction of Norowarejima's infrastructures, or perhaps wish to focus on creating events? Apply to join the Lore Team for YureiJimaRP! This is a space where like-minded individuals with the drive to create and write stories come together to bring players interesting storylines to explore and events to experience.
Additionally, by being part of the Lore team, you will be implemented into the SPIRITS faction upon the server's release! This faction is open to the public, but by joining the Lore Team, you will receive the exclusive role of [YลKAI]. By having this role, you may gain access to a Yokai of your own making, with their own abilities (if given approval by the Lore Coordinator).
We are currently looking for:
- People passionate about writing and creating lore of the island, spirits, scripts on the development of the island, and lore for specific areas of Norowarejima.
- People wanting to create fun and memorable events for players to experience, either being limited-time or permanent. From pop-up cafes to spirit events & more!
- Character writers for NPCs throughout Norowarejima, providing stories, relationships, and personalities for players to encounter. These will mainly be NPC-Store runners or event characters!
Guidelines & Regulations
The Following Guidelines & Regulations are required when applying to the Lore Team. Read through them thoroughly before applying for the best results.
Guidelines
Below are some recommendations that will greatly improve your chances of getting accepted. Keep them in mind and include them in your application to show us that you're interested in our team and want to help us bring the server forward!- Originality: Your application must be your own work. We will check thoroughly for traces of theft/AI use. Do not risk being blacklisted from the Team.
- Creativity: Please bring your own sense of creativity to your application! The more fun your writing is, the more interesting your stories are, and the more polished your application looks, the higher we'll rate it!
- Formatting: When writing text and dialogue, please separate them by lines. Itโs easier to read and looks far more pleasing. And preferably follow the 4-5 line paragraph rule.
- Taking on Requests: As part of the Lore team, youโll be expected to take on requests from the Serverโs team or the community (families, businesses, etc.). Youโre expected to complete these projects within the given deadline.
- Rewards: By finishing projects (Writing Assignments), you will receive community points. You can exchange these points for community bonuses, such as ranks, custom items, etc.
- Availability: Youโre allowed to join and create for other roleplay servers and communities, but you must remain regularly active within YureiJimaRP.
- Credits: Any contributions will be properly credited across the Yurei-JimaRP Forums, social media, etc.
Regulations
Below are the rules that you must comply with when applying for this community team. Failure to acknowledge them or not meeting any of these criteria will warrant an automatic removal from the team, regardless of whether your application has been accepted or not.- Criticism: You may encounter constructive criticism. @D0MINEER is here to help guide you and improve your writing skills, so try to take feedback with optimism.
- Copyright: Refrain from using any material from copyrighted sources when writing in your prompts. If you choose to do so (e.g. Pokemon, Sanrio, Astro Boy, Sailor Moon), please change enough details of the source material to make it unique. Itโs best to use your own imagination instead.
- Minimum Age: You must be over the age of 15 to apply.
- Requesting Help: If you need assistance with your application, ideas, or feedback, you can make a ticket through the Discord and request help from [user]5.
- Research: Norowarejima is set in an island off the coast of Kyoto, Japan. Please research Japanese culture when writing lore. It will help your assignment and show the Lore Coordinator that you can provide reliable cultural knowledge.
