What’s your IGN?:
runupgetdoneup_
What’s your Discord Tag?:
YellowWater6439
Do you have any alternative accounts?:
Yes, I have one alt account.
- Gsb23
Do you have a functioning microphone?:
Yes, my microphone works flawlessly.
How old are you?:
17, I turn 18 in January though.
Have you worked in teams like this before?:
As a difficult answer, yes and no. I have worked for two different servers as a lead builder. The first one being Universal Network which is a series of survival servers, they frequently change their spawn so I am working on that sometimes whenever they call on me to help out. The second server was never published and didn't even have a name, throughout this I went on and mainly helped out with creating the monastery, forests, and the sewer system. Through this role I learned to lead a team, manage my time well, and finally follow the needs of another by their specified request.

Do you have any previous experience?:
I feel as if I have some experience in detailed writing, for example the college-level class which I take in school but also the experience of writing I’ve gained from another Minecraft server. This server has forced me to create my own characters from scratch, imagine their own feelings while playing as them, and generating their looks.
I feel as if that was an amazing opportunity not only for fun and recreational use but also from a perspective of writing, definitely writing at least 2 essays worth of words, actions, etc every day just for fun.
What do you believe is your writing strong suit?:
It really depends on the topic. I take a college-level class at school which is all about analytical writings and as a reader and writer they challenge me to advance and do better. Though I’m sure this isn’t about that, and is more in a creative writing sense. I feel as if in creative writing I have a very strong suit of descriptions and a large quantity of creativity when influenced. Due to my previous experience of being a cheerleader on a different server, I was forced to create actions which not only depicted how my character moved and flowed, but also with a hint of story-telling in order to carry on the rest of the routine flawlessly.
In the creative-aspect, I write poetry in my own time. This is mostly on my personal feelings or life events, I use it as a journal but it helps me process and think. Honestly if asked I may or may not give an example of one of my writings, these are very close and dear to me.
Why are you interested in joining the Lore Team?:
I was absolutely in awe of the amount of opportunities provided to those in the lore team on another server and I was wondering if it would look just as fun here. I also know some of the people here and I really do enjoy writing so why not apply? I feel if I can tell stories with my writing I truly can help others feel how I feel and understand me as a person.
How did you learn about the server?:
Through a friend. They spoke pretty highly of the server and the community’s overall attention to detail which pretty quickly peaked my interest.
What unique contributions can you bring to the server?:
I feel as if I bring a strong sense of creativity and atmosphere building. I can find myself doing pretty well in the environment of detailed crafting, lore concepts, and even event narratives that feel alive. I also enjoy blending realistic ideas with subtle myths, creating spaces that can feel grounded but also different. I’m pretty collaborative and open to feedback, even if it's criticizing me, I’ve realized that all it can do is help me, it promotes change mostly for the better. My personal goal overall is to help enrich the stories of the servers' lore and those who will one day play on it.

Write a short story of a Self-Made Yokai you can find roaming throughout the island:
In the silent mountain tops of Byakuyakoku, where the wind moves like whispered prayer, a lonely light is said to drift between the temple’s paths. Monks call it Yuki-Andon - the Snow Lantern Spirit.
Many, many centuries ago, a temple attendant was tasked with the single duty of tending to the monastery’s lanterns during the most difficult winters. When a blizzard had buried the entire mountain for weeks, the woman held onto her duty not missing a single night of lighting the same lanterns. Night after night the woman lit each lantern by hand so the spirits of the lost could still find their way to the shrine. But one dawn, when the storm was beginning to break, the monks found only her final lantern burning, her footprints already covered by the snow.
It's said that those who follow her light may reach safety only if their hearts are pure. But those who wander with hearts full of greed or doubt are led deep into the storm where not even a prayer could reach.
Monks will still leave a single lantern burning at the outer gate of the monastery, not as a ward but as a welcome for many newcomers . It is believed that Yuki-Andon still guides souls home, her light holding itself as a promise that even in the endless winter, warmth may still be found even in the lifeless.
Write a quick event based on Japanese pop-up cafes/restaurants/stores (Promotional cafes based on media such as anime, gaming, spirits, etc.):

The pop-up seemed to be themed after a newly launched video game, “Chromatic Echoes”. A genius collaboration between the indie game creators and a five-star rated street chef. The usually quiet and dark vending machine alleyway was bustling with sounds of forks hitting plates, video games being spammed, and a lively feeling to it.
Holo-projected koi would be seen swimming on the floor of the alley, easily to be mistaken for actual koi. Once seated there is a warm feeling to the place and though it still feels lively a sense of calmness can take over. All of the servers are dressed as characters from Chromatic Echoes, easily observed as they glide through the rows between the tables while carrying steaming ramen bowls. A faint yet notable scent of ginger, soy, and burnt sugar flood the alley and the streets surrounding it. Guests are seen ordering limited-edition meals from vending machines which print out a detailed collectible card with every purchase.
As the clock strikes midnight the lights flicker, revealing a secret code which has flashed on the wall. Soon after a “bonus round” began, this message had flooded the screen of all the vending machines in the alley. An augmented reality scavenger hunt had begun! Guests were running all around the now crammed alleyway, searching for an exclusive riddle answer, and the first to find it would win a 1 of 1 in-game cosmetic. As the night was rudely interrupted by the sun rising, the servers had suddenly disappeared, along with the new-looking vending machines and the rest of the restaurant. The only trace was a broken dish tucked away into a corner of the alleyway, a hint of red left on a sharp edge.
How would you write the atmosphere of the image provided below? (Byakuyakoku Shinto Monastery):
(Must be at least 200 characters long, describing the characteristics, atmosphere as well as including some personal ideas about Byakuyakoku.)
Byakuyakoku Shinto Monastery

The Byakuyakoku Shinto Monastery could be found high in the mountain tops of Norowarejima, veiled beneath layers upon layers of untouched, century-old snow. Lanterns would softly flicker along the stone hard trail, thor amber colors lighting would give off shadows of the onlooker, casting them onto ancient wooden beams and moss laced walls. The air would hold a quiet and soft presence, once that could even still the heart in the cold harsh winter night.
Nerminding the cold, the monastery would hold a deep sense of warmth shifting from its core. Fireplaces could be heard crackling from behind thin paper doors, the scent of its incense would be gently wafting out into the mountain tops. It's clear that nature and spirit intertwine here, the soft feeling of calmness holding a safe place for prayer and respect. The icicles dangling from rooftops would gleam faintly in the morning light with ancient trees rising proudly amid the snowdrifts.
It could be imagined that Byakuyakoku is a sanctuary for the soul, a safe spot to hold prayer and religion. You could find clarity beneath the hush of the soft gentle snow. The Monastery overall felt like it was balanced, holding an inner peace like no other.
You have been tasked to write an in-lore influential character in the history of Norowarejima. Who and what would you create? Provide some insight on the character!
(e.g., A previous Journalist from 30 years ago named Nagasaki Itto)

Hoshigawa Reiko calmly walked barefoot along the bank of the river, her black hair flowing behind her in a neat manner. Many of the villagers had gathered at the edge of the riverbank, their faces were white as paper with fear. A sickness had struck out in the village, taking hold and leaving no home untouched of its nearly fatal grasp.
Reiko put a knee to the ground, dipping her hands into the water she would trace circles in its cold current. It was clear she was muttering prayers to the kami, yet her whispers couldn’t be heard by those who were surrounding her.
“The Balance has been broken.” She spoke out to the villagers which were watching over her
“We have taken too much and given too little. Tonight, we will restore balance.”
Reiko stood up and began to move under the calm moonlight. In the clearing of the bamboo she had begun performing ancient dances taught to her by wandering monks. Many of the villagers were unsure if they should join Reiko in her dance, until some brave souls mirrored her movements. Slowly, one by one the villagers followed her actions. Their fear had begun to turn into hope just by the help of Reiko.
By dawn the fevers of many villagers had broken. Villagers whispered to one another in awe as Reiko walked among them, offering many poultice which she had created herself.
“The kami are with us, we must honor them and in return, they will watch over our homes.”
In years to follow, Reiko would travel across Norowarejima, mediating disputes, teaching women to read the scrolls she had written, and building what would become the Byakuyakoku Shinto Monastery. A place where human and nature could exist in harmony, even now. Many years later, during a full moon her song could be whispered through the wind in the bamboo when closely listened, a reminder that the spirit of balance never truly dies.
