How did you learn about the server?
ThatBurningFox showed me and invited me!! We had been talking about roleplay servers and at some point she showed me some youtube video's and I asked for an invite because the server looked extremely advanced and interesting. I loved the idea of doing some silly ghost hunting in a server that's also based 'mostly' in reality. I'm a lover of lore and reading about interesting topics so that's part of what grasped onto me as well, I'm very excited for the upcoming lore pages!

Why do you wish to become a beta tester?
The server is a beautiful mix of people who are doing amazing things, especially in the roadmapping channel, from what I've seen. Everyone is so nice to interact with, and it's super unintimidating. The community is wonderful, and the server holds a lot of potential. I'd love to be involved with this server more than just viewing things through the channels! I'd love to help identify issues to fix and provide my input on areas that can be improved or done differently. I tend to be a huge explorer on new servers and can find faults that way that can be fixed! I love YRP's dedication to doing testing before release to ensure the best quality for players once it's out. I've not often seen that in other servers, and I'm extremely impressed by the professionalism as well as care put into the server.
All of the features seem so interesting and unique, involving different twists on already existing concepts. I'd love to be a part of something like that, and to build more concepts! I'm a huge believer in brute forcing until things work, and unfortunately, I tend to hyperfocus until I find out what's causing an issue and how to solve it. My poor friends can attest to my spending hours working on things and finding out the issues involved with whatever we're doing. Ranging from terrible experiences coding (I've recovered.) to lots of repetitive testing on plugins and compatibility. I'd do better in sniffing out the bugs than fixing them in all honesty, LOL.
I'm super excited to be involved, one way or another, and cannot wait to roleplay on this server! I've introduced my boyfriend and best friend because of my excitement, and encouraged them to apply for things they're interested in as well! We're all super excited for the release and future of this community.

What do you expect to do once the server releases?
Outside of being a beta-tester, if I were accepted, I'd want to interact with the community teams more and experience the way this server handles factions. I'm excited to have more people to interact with in an interesting setting like a ghost island! The character ideas and potential for roleplay opportunities are exciting. There's going to be so much to interact with and learn that I'll be spending a lot of time figuring things out and playing with my friends. I'm most interested in the spirits and spooky stuff, but I love the prospect of an entire island to explore and learn about. I'm also so ready for lore pages to read and become overly obsessed with, as well as learning and solving mysteries in character.
I'm also hoping to make new friends in the roleplaying community. I love to talk to and interact with people. I hope to make new friends through interactions both in character and out of character, and I'm expecting to have fun drawing situations that happen in-game or just with my friends and my characters in general. I love to express roleplay scenarios through art, so that'll be a huge part of me playing for sure! There are a lot of artistic opportunities that come with the concepts and possible execution of roleplay scenarios within the server!! I can't wait to draw some ghosts.
Overall, I expect to roleplay and have fun with the concept! I'm super excited to be involved once the server releases and explore the architecture that we've gotten sneak peeks of as well. (Absolutely gorgeous builds by the way.) I feel it'll be a lot easier for me to interact here than in other places. I tend to shy away from people and am super easily intimidated (probably my biggest flaw ever), but I haven't felt super overwhelmed by this community. It's been a lot easier for me to interact with people, and I'm hoping that the roleplay situations are the same. I struggle with rules not being explicitly written out and stated, but this server also does a lot better with that. I don't feel the CRUSHING ANXIETY of having to interact with people in something that's supposed to be fun. So I'm excited to be involved in a community that will be much more welcoming and easier for me to interact with.

I understand and work much better with explicit and detailed instructions. I have a hard time understanding or basing how I work off of simple and vague sentences and prefer things written down and structured in a very matter-of-fact way! I also struggle with some readability due to dyslexia and often use screen readers to fully understand what's being said to me. I tend to take things entirely at face value and very literally so I may not understand metaphors or things like that. Doing my best to work around this though and will ask for clarification if I need it!
