How did you learn about the server?
I learned about Yurei-Jima through checking someone's discord somewhat randomly while wondering about what they might have been up to, only to catch a glimpse of the term "YRP" and wondering exactly what that was. Lo and behold, I clicked a link to find out more... and ended up seeing a couple of the YT videos and in-progress stuff. Then, boom, I found the Discord server and turns out there's actually a lot more people in it than I expected. Very cool stuff.
So, you could say it's a mix of discord "word of mouth" and the YouTube videos that are what got me to hear about the server, with the videos themselves being what mainly caught my interest!
Why do you wish to become a beta tester?
My interest in becoming a beta tester is rooted in a fairly simple reason; I'd really like to be able to jump in, look around and feel how things are on the server through first hand experience and give some proper thoughts on how it all comes together through that experience. It would be rewarding to be able to help with identifying any issues and help shape the way the server slowly unfolds toward its full release, even if I have a miniscule impact it'll still be satisfactory for me - as someone that has contributed to a variety of projects with bug testing and the likes, I believe I will be able to find at least ONE bug on the server to report and help iron things out since... I tend to do stuff that people apparently don't think of, out of random impulse.
Not to mention, I'm eager to try out some concepts and the likes to begin with on the server, outside of the basic beta testing prospects. I already have one solidly in mind that I would like to see come to fruition and execute within the setting of YRP, but that'll be something I'll flesh out a little more over the coming days as I get more clued in on how things can and will work. Still, the hands-on experience should ideally help with making suggestions easier.
What do you expect to do once the server releases?
I plan to try to get involved with the community teams some if I'm able and develop my character concept I have in mind, primarily. There's a lot of those things that I can already do assuming I get beta tester (or lucky enough to get accepted into something else) but a full fledged release just means more players to engage with and more consistent things to do really.
All in all, I would like to create roleplay opportunities and encourage people to get involved with things as much as possible, whether that's as a regular student character, a Councillor, or a member of one of the teams, I'm sure I can still do a lot of what I've got in mind regardless! There's a lot of stuff that can be executed on the server - and it seems those concepts of mine will be a lot more welcome here than other places, so that is an enormous plus!
As from what I can gather is a narrative driven server, I'll be delighted to help further the stories of others in whatever means I have available.
