Tsunemai | Yukinomiya ้›ชๅฎฎ
โ€œThe Unyielding Kite, Personification of Promise.โ€
Manifest as devotion itself, Tsunemai upholds love for her partner, even in death. Often depicted as a abnormally large black kite, with an unease radiating from it. Newly-weds who spot her are often blessed with a long and happy marriage, yet Tsunemaiโ€™s appearance denotes that the bride will be fated to pass first.

APPROACH WITH CAUTION | DANGEROUS

Yukinomiya Snowscapes | Location & Information

Refusing to allow for her sacred vow to be wasted within the cursed city, Tsunemai withdrew from the modern life entirely, quietly living alongside Seichiro.

Drifting along the north-eastern reaches of Norowarejima, Tsunemaiโ€™s presence is most often found within the vast, snow-laden mountains of Yukinomiya. A place where the world appears to remain untouched, and the veil between the human realm and Yomi wears dangerously thin. It is here where a large population of Milvus migrans, black kites, have inexplicably made their home. Dwelling within the snow, despite it defying their natural habitat. Legends say that they gather here under Tsunemaiโ€™s lingering presence, scouring along frosted peaks.

Mere moments after Seichiro was gifted form and purpose by his ancestor, Tsumiyaku-no-Kami, there remained the one who defined him. The vow that tethered his devotion to meaning. Where he endured through the purity of love, hers was the force that promised to never falter, fracture, or fade. And in a moment of tragedy, she too joined him in the afterlife, and was taken pity upon by Tsumiyaku-no-Kami. Thus, Tsunemai came to be known as the Kite of Promise. Born not of mercy, yet a gift from above for upholding her vow until the end. To promise, in her essence, is a spoken binding that draws tightly between two chosen souls. And to her bliss, she is forever bound to her lover, Seichiro, the Owl of Devotion, fated to reincarnate time after time again.

She is often most depicted with hollowed eyes that gleam akin to opal beneath the sunlight, beautiful, yet unphased. Her presence is warm only to one, and to that one alone, it is unyielding. There is no question in her mind to the bond they share, nor does she permit the world to do so either.

Those who earn Tsunemaiโ€™s favor feel an unyielding urge to honor every vow to the fullest degree.
