Whatโs your IGN?: TweakyChain9288
What's your Discord Tag?: _5o5_
Do you have any alternative accounts?: I do not since I have like one email for gaming and the rest is for work stuff.
Do you have a functioning microphone?: My computer has a pretty good mic and as long as I don't have any background noise my voice is crystal clear.
How old are you?: I am 20 years old, but my bones are ancient.
Have you worked in teams like this before?: I have worked on many servers' lore teams such as Elorial, Hanabira, Timeless Tales RP. Those are of course more personal servers except for Hanabira [it sadly died] but so far those were the server I made lore for before.
Do you have any previous experience?: Oh, I have plenty of experience, from writing up settings for the servers I've mentioned before to creating items and npcs for DnD campaigns and Hanabira. I also have a bit of original work as well.
What do you believe is your writing strong suit?: Creating characters, settings, psychological horror, those are my strong suits but if I had to choose one it is definitely settings.
Why are you interested in joining the Lore Team?: I'd love to help the team out with my skills to create an enjoyable atmosphere and maybe some spooky atmospheres too.
How did you learn about the server?: I learned about this server through a friend of mine named Hols, and the whole Idea of a haunted island filled with spirits is my cup of tea!
What unique contributions can you bring to the server?: If you need eerie atmospheres and complex characters, I'm your gal!
Write a short story of a Self-Made Yokai you can find roaming throughout the island:
They say when the moon is void of it's iridescent beauty the faint laughter of a woman could be heard within the sea surrounding Norowarejima Island... beckoning sailors and those near the waters to enter, and those that are unfortunate enough to hear her haunting calls... never return.
They call the voice Makka-San, those who survived have said she was a woman of ghastly beauty... Her long winding black hair coated the sea floor covering her sickly thin corpse, some have stated "it was like a whirlpool of hair was pulling me deeper into the ocean" - "It was like looking at your greatest fear, I didn't know where her hair ends, and her body begins... I felt so small compared to her".
youths are often told never to go near the sea on a new moon... Or else Makka-San will take them away... Deep into the dark sea.
Write a quick event based on Japanese pop-up cafes/restaurants/stores (Promotional cafes based on media such as anime, gaming, spirits, etc.):
How would you write the atmosphere of the image provided below? (Byakuyakoku Shinto Monastery):
(Must be at least 200 characters long, describing the characteristics, atmosphere as well as including some personal ideas about Byakuyakoku.)
Entering the monastery you feel a sense of... tranquility, as the sound of your shoes crunching against freshly fallen snow breaks the silence you are greeted with the sight of simple yet welcoming homes, the chatter of priests and maidens tending to this monastery intrigues you to walk further into it, down its twisting path.
As you walk deeper into the monastery your eyes fall upon its sacred stone paths, nature peering out from the cracks, flowers and bushes covered in blankets of soft white snow. You come across a shrine, its statue stood tall and mighty as dimly lit candles surround it, wax cascading down it. Soon snow began to fall once more, the winds picking up, shaking the trees and lifting flowers into the air like dancing fairies flying away... And yet the candles remained lit.
And as you look upon this shrine the piercing cold almost fades away, it's warmth almost soothing your body, taking shelter from the snow underneath the roof of this shrine the monastery under the soft sunlight sparkled like bejeweled white carpets.
Stone paths hugged by nature and snow, Home filled with priests and maidens taking shelter from this cold morning, and a shrine surrounded with candles of eternal flames... and here you are, witnessing it all without a clue of what lies beneath your feet.
You have been tasked to write an in-lore influential character in the history of Norowarejima. Who and what would you create? Provide some insight on the character!:
(e.g., A previous Journalist from 30 years ago named Nagasaki Itto).
Chikao Ishii
Said to be one of the fishermen involved in the new moon incident, 25 years ago, he was the only survivor during the unfortunate sinking of the crew's ship called the Anemone.
His current age is 45 and living near the Norowarejima mental hospital, he is stated to be deathly afraid of deep bodies of water.
He is a 5'11 male, his hair is a short and scruffy coal black and his skin is a pale olive with splotches of sunspots and freckles. He is still rather toned for his age however he has lost significant muscle mass from the incident.
Often times youths in his area would ask him about the incident and he'd humor them with the tale of Makka-San, but every new moon he'd wear earmuffs and wield what looks to be a hook on a long pole as he'd walk along the shores of Norowarejima despite his fear in order to "protect his neighbors and youths" from the yokai's calls.
He was granted the title of "Lunatic" by fellow residents and has often had officers called to take him back home every new moon.
Additional Notes: I had allot of fun writing these and hope that you enjoy my application!
