What is your motivation to apply to the Norowarejima Hospital Faction?:
My motivation to apply for Norowarejima Hospital's Faction, I'd like to become more apart of the community especially in the early stages of the server, as this would offer myself to get more adapted to the environment and not feel as pressured on when the server would be more, populated. What also motivates me is my urge to learn more about the medical field I'm mainly intrigued in Psychology and currently studying it in my free time.

ROLE-SPECIFIC QUESTIONS & MEDICAL TRIVIA
[This section is dedicated to testing your knowledge on the medical field.]
-
What role would you prefer and why?:
Psychiatry
Why'd I prefer psychiatry is it ties in with Mental health, and I myself have been wanting to peruse somewhat of this within the future, such as a Mental Health Counselor, Psychologist, and or a 911 operator, because it has always intrigued me on what goes on beyond the human brain, like what drives us to be well us. Alongside this role of Psychiatry, It could allow me to become more knowledgeable and put the knowledge I know to good use, by applying it into Minecraft and roleplaying it out, to better help my understanding of the subject.

Do you have any prior experience with MedicalRP?:
Not much experience with MedicalRP, Although this dose NOT define me in learning more about MedicalRP as I will always try my absolute best to understand the complexations and details of MedicalRP, in short I'm willing to learn more about MedicalRP of what I don't already know.

Are you aware that with MedicalRP comes the possibility of encountering possibly triggering topics?:
Yes, I'm aware that MedicalRP can possibly encounter triggering topics, such as death, gore and such.

How well can you coordinate with a team during Roleplay?:
I believe I can coordinate with a team very well, allowing the best roleplay experience from all parties possibly, alongside my character being easily adaptable with there environment. Alongside past experiences on other servers such as SRP and EchoesRP both having to be coordinated with a team. Like on SRP, I was apart of the Education Dept, Counseling Center, and I had to Coordinate with my fellow Counselors, alongside the East falls police department on Echoes RP Alongside this, I also ow currently work at there Clinic Faction as a psychiatrist. So, In my opinion I think I can coordinate very well with a team.

MEDICAL TRIVIA

(PHYSIOLOGY)
If someone is experiencing a reaction to food poisoning, what is the correct way to manage and treat the symptoms?:

If the patient has a reaction to food poisoning I'd first have to identify the symptoms they may be experiencing such as nausea, abnormal cramps or a simple fever. I'd then go for a course of treatment such as Hydration, Rest and then help them gradually going back to eating, consulting a dietitian.

What procedure would you follow if you witness a patient experiencing a seizure?:
If in the event a patient starts to experience a seizure I'd ease them down to the ground to there side, removing anything that could potential harm the individual or restrict the individuals breathing. I'd then try to put a pillow under there head. After the seizure has fully ended I'd then help them ease back into life after the event, explaining to the patient what happened, and just being there for them when needed most.

What procedure would you follow if a patient that has entered the hospital has a broken forearm?:
If a patient has enter the hospital with a broken forearm I'd then bring them into a treatment room, with urgency only if its a compound. I'd check for symptoms such as swelling, bruising, alongside blood circulation like the Radical Artery which is on the thumb side of the wrist. Then if in the proper environment I'd acquire a sling to Immobile the arm, then I'd have the patient rest so hospital personnel could monitor the said patient along with myself. Then going onward with an X-Ray to see the damage then from there going with an definite treatment, such as a cast or splinting.

What procedure would you follow if a patient enters the hospital struggling to breathe?:
If a patient is struggling to breathe, I'd first go for primary care meaning checking there ABC's (Airway, Breathing, minimal Circulation), Then I'd check there pulse sox which is on there finger to tell if there is any intervention as needed as type of intervention is dependent on level of pulse sox. If treatment is necessary it would range from oxygen via the nose to oxygen mask and if in worse case intubation with ventilation

(PSYCHIATRY)
A patient is experiencing a panic attack before an important procedure. How would you assist the patient?

How I'd assist the patient, is that I would approach them in a calm tone, and using medication techniques such as breathing in nice smelling flowers then blowing out the candles. Once they have calmed down I'd then communicate with them and converse on what they're worried about and why they feel that way. Then I'd do a course of action, such as going with them into the operation room till there under anesthesia, or simply just being when they awake from the surgery.

A belligerent patient in the middle of a psychotic episode stumbles into the emergency room. What should you do?
If in the event of a psychotic episode into the ER, What medical personnel should do, is first ensure the safety of all patient's, hospital staff and all who are around before countering the situation, then If all was safe and the patient is only a danger to themself, I'd approach with small movements not that sudden, and try to seclude the patient into a more private room or area. Although if they we're more violent I'd say more then one hospital personnel would be needed, and if Hospital Security would be needed, if necessary.

Which neurotransmitter is most commonly associated with depression
The neurotransmitter that is most commonly associated with depression would be serotonin.

What does the Acronym [PTSD] stand for, and what does it entail
The Acronym PTSD, Stands for Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. This entails a multitude of things that the individual may have endured, or has experienced, that can be either one traumatic experience or multiple. Such examples would be World War Veterans, as they have experienced a whole lot that could get them PTSD, such as a Bombing, they may be frightened from a normal airplane as its loud engine's that can be heard could cause them to shut down, or have a panic/anxiety attack.

THE INTERVIEW
[Congratulations! Your character scored an interview, please answer the following all in ICLY fashion]

The Hospital Director takes a seat at their desk, clasping their hands together with a calm gaze as they greet the individual. Their desk is clean and pristine, aside from a half-filled tea cup that continues to steam, giving the room a lovely aroma.
As he looked around in the room he would approach the Director's desk, taking a seat on the chair across from them, greeting them with a warm smile. Yet before sitting he would properly bow encouraging that the director was more higher status then himself.

โ€œGood afternoon. I will be conducting your interview today. Could I have your full name as well as your age and date of birth, please?โ€
Then sat across from the director, properly introducing himself. "Afternoon, Director. I am Xiaoyu Khairuddin and I'm 34 years old, Born on May 24th of 1991."

โ€œVery nice. Now, could you tell me a little more about yourself? Do you have a family, perhaps some motivations behind why youโ€™d like to work here?โ€
"Well, I don't really like getting into my personal life." He'd take a breathe before continuing speaking in Malaysian accent "Although I come Malaysia, with Chinese decent, Some motivations behind why I'd work here? Hmm." thought momentarily. . "Well, I'd like to just settle down in Norwerejima, as you have seen on my application, I have come from Columba Asia. In short, I just wanna use my skills to good use, I presume." As he took a breathe, he'd listen to what the next question was.

โ€œWould you like us to refer to you by your surname or first name? As well as what honorifics youโ€™d like.โ€
(San, Chan, Kun, Shi, etc.)
"I'd like to be addressed by my surname in formality, yet If you were yet to know me then my first name would be fine. As by Honorifics, I'd say Encik- which means Mr, in Malay, or as you say San or Kun in Japanease."

The director nods in affirmation, now understanding the type of person the individual was and readjusts their posture, taking a sip of that aromatic green tea before continuing to speak.
โ€œIt is nice meeting you, then. Now, Let us move on to some more important questions regarding your role.โ€
Listened to what she had said, then he'd take a moment to think, yet he'd simply nod to continue on.

โ€œA patient arrives with a severe injury and is panicking uncontrollably. Walk me through how you would handle this situation.โ€
He'd speak with an assertive calm tone, yet confident in his answer. "Well, if in the scenario that would happen, I'd approach the patient with haste, asking them to calm down, while taking them into a treatment room, I'd then as a psychiatrist try to the best of my ability to try and calm the Individual" Took a breathe before continuing. " After I would get the correct personnel needed, such as an attending physician." Took a breathe. . . listing at her response.

โ€œDuring an emergency, if any other hospital staff are unavailable however there is a patient in need, can we trust you to stabilize them or treat them to an acceptable degree?โ€
He'd then quickly say, after she was done speaking. "I can confidently say that Norwarejima Hospital can trust me to stabilize, treat a patient to an acceptable degree, if not more then needed."
|
โ€œCould you run me through on the plethora of equipment you may find within your personal office if you are to be given the role of a resident? Just simply medical equipment.โ€
He'd then think for a moment. ."Well, inside my personal office, I'd say as a psychiatrist It would be quite minimal other then the normal tools and equipment, such as Stethoscope, Sphygmomanometer, Pulse oximeter, Mental Status Exam (MSE) alongside DSM-5 and ICD-10." He'd take a breathe. "I'd say that would be all, maybe more miscellanea stuff."

DENIED

After careful review of your application and discussion with the Higher-Ups team we unfortunately have chosen to deny your application. Please do not let this discourage you from applying in the future.

FEEDBACK:
AGE REQUIREMENT: Stated above you are still under our preferred age provided for this role. There are only a few small cases where this is an exception, however this was unfortunately not the case for your application.

REPUTATION: When we review these applications, we tend to look for players with a reasonable reputation within our server's community. We recommend that you spend more time getting to learn about our server during beta and possibly involving yourself in smaller roles before applying again if your choose to in the future!

MEDICAL TRIVIA: Although within this role you get trained and have the opportunity to learn these topics, we encourage those who apply to have done at least some minimal research to be able to answer the trivia with decent adequacy as it shows us a level of commitment and dedication you will bring to the faction.

At the end of the day, these decisions were made as a team and are final. Please do not reach out to any faction members or staff dms in regards to your outcome, they will be ignored and you will most likely be directed back to this post. If you are positive we have made a mistake in reviewing your application you are free to create a ticket using the following command /ticketcreate staff: florestiaa (Do not abuse this feature and any argumentative behaviour or unreasonable comments will result in a possible blacklist of you re-applying.
