Yes
What is your timezone & How would you describe your activity?:
GMT+7. My activity for the server generally revolves around fixing bugs the beta testers find (looking at you Dash). I work a remote job, so my activity on the server would come in sporadic bursts during my downtime up to four hours each session.
What is your motivation to apply to the Norowarejima Hospital Faction?:
I've never been part of any particular faction in roleplay prior. My preference is to detailRP within a small group of friends, and I would like to break out of my comfort zone by interacting and doing types of detailRP I never usually do.

ROLE-SPECIFIC QUESTIONS & MEDICAL TRIVIA
What role would you prefer and why?:
Resident Surgeon
Do you have any prior experience with MedicalRP?:
I don't have any prior experiences with MedicalRP
Are you aware that with MedicalRP comes the possibility of encountering possibly triggering topics?:
I am aware that MedicalRP can and likely will contain details that might be uncomfortable to some
How well can you coordinate with a team during Roleplay?:
While I don't have any prior experiences with MedicalRP, I have had experiences with arrangedRP for a small group of friends, and I believe I am able to function as a dynamic in a group/team roleplay.
MEDICAL TRIVIA
I solemnly apologize in advance for my profound ignorance in any medical knowledge
(PHYSIOLOGY)
If someone is experiencing a reaction to food poisoning, what is the correct way to manage and treat the symptoms?:
When it comes to food poisoning, some concerns would lie in the body trying to expel out whatever it could through the same orifice that it came in. Forcefully making someone vomit is likely a bad idea, due to the fact that the stomach acid would likely corrode their airway or enter their lungs.
Presumably there is not much you can do, but if the patient has vomited or is losing fluid through some means (whether from their mouth or rear), it is best to hydrate them and ensure they maintain enough electrolytes through any energy drinks. During recovery, any solid food should probably be avoided.
What procedure would you follow if you witness a patient experiencing a seizure?:
Prevent the patient from causing any harm to themself, keeping watch until the situation alleviates
What procedure would you follow if a patient that has entered the hospital has a broken forearm?:
Request for them to lie down, getting a stretcher or any means of transport that would not move the affected area in any way. A splint or some similar mechanism that can lock the patient's arm in place while recovery should be applied.
What procedure would you follow if a patient enters the hospital struggling to breathe?:
Ensure that the patient is sitting upright to prevent any obtrusion that might be caused from their posture. I am unsure what common causes they are for a patient to struggle to breathe, but a type of inhaler should be applied to ensure that a healthy amount of oxygen keeps the patient alive.
(PSYCHIATRY)
A patient is experiencing a panic attack before an important procedure. How would you assist the patient?
Attempt to calm the patient down and quell any source of concern/panic that might have caused this sudden panic attack. If all fails, sedate the patient
A belligerent patient in the middle of a psychotic episode stumbles into the emergency room. What should you do?
Restrain the patient and safely remove them outside of the emergency room to prevent them from causing harm to themselves or those around them
Which neurotransmitter is most commonly associated with depression
Unsure, but I would assume that this would be around any signals that affects mood regulation, with dopamine and serotonin being a likely suspect
What does the Acronym [PTSD] stand for, and what does it entail
Post-traumatic stress disorder. Characterized by the brain's inability to differentiate past memories to present moment, introducing involuntary intrusive memories that can surface. This can also come from an association with words or concepts that can trigger these intrusive memories and result in panic attacks.
These are generally lifelong and persistent, possibly causing anti-social or avoidant behaviors as a maladaptive mechanism.

Dear [Director's name],
I am writing to express my interest in the surgery residency position at your institution. As a recent graduate of [Fictitious University with hopefully decent prestige] with my strong background from honors in surgical sciences, I am confident that I would be a valuable asset to your program.
My research in [Interesting topic] was published under [Q1 Journal] and presented at [Famous conference] has given me profound understanding of surgical practices. I have also taken an intern position at [Famous hospital/institution] shows my capability to work within an organization and communication ability between my department.
I am open to further discussions on my experiences to show that my passion and technical background make me a strong candidate for your program. Thank you for considering my application.
Sincerely,
Maal Pratise
THE INTERVIEW
The Hospital Director takes a seat at their desk, clasping their hands together with a calm gaze as they greet the individual. Their desk is clean and pristine, aside from a half-filled tea cup that continues to steam, giving the room a lovely aroma.
Brisk, nervous steps echoed the bleached room as Maal closed the door behind her. Her gaze wandered from corner to corner, before landing on her future employer "Hello!" the girl's voice boomed energetically through the room. She began striding, pulling herself a seat
โGood afternoon. I will be conducting your interview today. Could I have your full name as well as your age and date of birth, please?โ
"My name is Maal" she cleared her throat, trying best to rid herself of any nerves that might be impeding her response "Maal Pratise." mustering the best smile she could, she flashed what she thought was certainly an award winning beam "My birthdate is on 2nd of April, 2000"
โVery nice. Now, could you tell me a little more about yourself? Do you have a family, perhaps some motivations behind why youโd like to work here?โ
"I have always wanted to be a doctor" a visible shift in her tone could be felt, her eyes metaphorically sparkling as she speaks "Surgery wasn't my specialization initially, but something in the OR made me fall in love" her legs began swinging back and forth "It feels like.. instant gratification?" she tilted her head "There's a tangible outcome that I can see, and I love doing things with my hands. I was terrible at remembering if drug A would be better than drug B for a specific patient" a soft chuckle escaped her lips, a playful smile forming "And I can blast music in the OR"
"As for why I chose to accept the offer here.." she theatrically looked around, pointlessly confirming that no one else is privy to this conversation "I saw on glassdoor that your attending surgeon gives the best hands-on during training, and.." she continued coyly "that he's something of a looker."
"Aside from that, I've heard that the career prospect and climbing is remarkably good here. The work-life balance was another point that drew me to accept an offer from your hospital."
โWould you like us to refer to you by your surname or first name? As well as what honorifics youโd like.โ
"I wouldn't say I have any particular preferences, but.." she sunk into a brief ponder "Maal-san works by me!"
The director nods in affirmation, now understanding the type of person the individual was and readjusts their posture, taking a sip of that aromatic green tea before continuing to speak.
โIt is nice meeting you, then. Now, Let us move on to some more important questions regarding your role.โ
"Certainly!" she energetically bobbed her head in an exaggerated gesture
โA patient arrives with a severe injury and is panicking uncontrollably. Walk me through how you would handle this situation.โ
"Severe injury and distress, seems almost oxymoronic" she remarked, a sardonic chuckle following "Firstly, it's important to assess the injury and not exacerbate the situation" the girl let out a soft sigh, a contemplative pause intermitted her sentence "I would try to get the patient to calm down first if viable, helping them drawing in and exhaling deep breaths. During this time, I will try to give reassuring comments that they will be alright" her gaze shifted towards the ceiling, gathering her words "If all goes well, I will need to check their pulse and the area of injury. I'll be as clear as possible and convey what needs to be done to the patient, making sure they are aware of what's happening."
โDuring an emergency, if any other hospital staff are unavailable however there is a patient in need, can we trust you to stabilize them or treat them to an acceptable degree?โ
Maal solemnly nodded "I am confident that I am able to provide preliminary care to patients in an emergency situation" she remarked with certainty
โCould you run me through on the plethora of equipment you may find within your personal office if you are to be given the role of a resident? Just simply medical equipment.โ
"Let's see here.." she began tapping her feet "For the OR, the full set of gnarly scapels and scissors. Forceps as well for dealing with soft tissues. Then there's the usual suspect of equipments" she continued, the impact of her feet against the floor accompanying her words "Blood pressure cuffs along with any supplies for wound care" the tapping of her feet grew more incessant before coming to a complete stop "I feel like I am missing something.. but that's all I can come up at the top of my head"
