How did you learn about the server?
I heard about the server from a friend of mine who was on the content team, offering information about the server. At first, I was too engrossed into the other things going on in life to actually give it much attention, but upon further looking into the server, I found myself with growing excitement of what it had to offer and the sheer potential of what Yurei-Jima could become. Not just in the sense of how well-rounded and detailed the roleplay is, but the community is something I can genuinely see myself participating in.

Why do you wish to become a beta tester?
I wish to become one for both the reason I listed above but I know that's not substantial enough to deliver in an application, so I shall further delve into why I actually wish to become a beta tester. Of course, there's the basics of helping out in the fleshing out of the plug-ins and reporting any and every bug I come across because... durr! It helps the developers make an even better server. But, there's quite a few instances that had me steadily falling in love with Yurei Jima.

First, the lore. I'd skimmed over it quite a few times to understand its supernatural roots and the fact that it's so deeply ingrained in actual folklore, and wishing to represent that in a way that does include the community is, for lack of better words, so freaking awesome. It's refreshing seeing a server that values including its community over just wanting their friends to have all the fun. I know it'll open a chance for more evenly spread RP across the board and foster even more fun moments between users.

Another reason is the plug-ins. From the former server that I'd come from, the plug-ins were few and far between. Not to discredit them since I don't know the first thing about what goes into that, but seeing how detailed your developers were and even getting to talk to one of them about a driving mod/plug-in (I'm not sure the difference, I'm sorry). It was actually enlightening to see someone so invested and interested in adding onto a more realistic experience whether it was just an aspiration or something they went on to invest real time in is beyond me but that was again, genuinely so enlightening to hear and the energy was so infectious I even went running back to my friend to tell them the news and joked about possible scenarios.

I also know I'm going to have an easy time fleshing out my character in here. As some might have already known, I am indeed an artist and my main thing is digital illustration, which also bleeds into comic making at time so story boarding, designing and fleshing characters out in a way that actually resonates with their environment hasn't been much of an issue by me. Funny enough, I already have a character prepped and ready to go for the hopeful day I might join YRP. That being said, I should probably get onto my final point.

Community.

It's one of the most important things to me right now, and although I'm not as shy as I used to be, I also just want a space to be comfortable presenting myself and things I like in. Which YRP has steadily become. I can be humorous and not feel shamed over some arbitrary boundary I'd set with someone else feeling weaponized against me. I'm a person who respects myself as much as I respect others, and YRP has let me present that. So, thank you! I will indeed be chattering away for the next few months.

What do you expect to do once the server releases?
I thought about this a lot, but I'd much rather explain it in an ICly manner:

My current character is one that lives in a bit of a lackadaisical manner, but due to upbringing, has a few goals they're oriented toward. Arts, music and fashion to be exact. I'd be pleased with them starting a boutique or just anything arts, fashion or music related. I actually wanted to move them towards the more alternative, fashionable side of being part of the town. Of course, I don't see them as "misunderstood," but they are going to be very oriented in the art and fashion scenes and repping styles like the Chinese yabi trend, while I actually try and navigate making more outfit skins that are detailed and able to present them in that light.

Also in the interactions with the superstitious sides. They're quite the unbeliever, so the interactions between them and the yokai would be equivalent to a Scooby Doo villain reveal/chase in that right. No matter how fleshed out my character might be, I still would love to always add elements of comedy to lighten the mood since it never hurts to do so.

Please include any additional information you'd like to share with us (Optional)
I draw, and a lot actually. I've been doing so for 11 years now and do it commercially here and there. I do enjoy sometimes framing roleplay scenes in art or just bringing my character to life by making it look like they actually can take a selfie of themselves. It's such a common thing, but it makes them so much more fun and also betters my skillz heh....
