SHOP & BUSINESS FACTION OVERVIEW
What's the difference?
A Business Owner runs a service-focused or specialized roleplay-based business rather than a standard retail shop.
- Primary focus: Offering unique services, immersive roleplay experiences, or specialized skills, these can be delivered IRP (In Roleplay) or OOC (Out of Character).
- IRP Businesses:
- Journalism or news publishing offices
- Private investigator agencies
- Theatres or entertainment troupes
- Event planning companies
- Tailor Boutiques, tattoos, hair
- Figura avatars
- Custom art & media editing
- Graphic design
- IRP Businesses:
- Business Owners typically operate offices, studios, or specialized venues rather than traditional โshopsโ full of merchandise.
- They often work by appointment, commission, or ongoing projects, with roleplay depth being a major selling point.
- Business Owners will be monitored more closely, as their activity will be gauged based on commission, events, or player interaction.
A Shop Owner operates a physical store that sells tangible, stocked goods IRP.
- Primary focus: Running a brick-and-mortar retail location where customers can browse and buy merchandise.
- Restaurants, cafes, or bakeries (IRP food & drinks)
- Toy stores, bookshops, music stores
- Furniture shops, electronics retailers
- Shop Owners maintain an IRP inventory, restock products, set prices, and meet monthly opening requirements.
- These stores are public-facing hubs meant to draw in customers and RP.
- Shop Owners are required to open at least 6 times a month.
GUIDELINES
- Follow Server Rules & Settings. All shop themes, goods, and services must be realistic. For example, a coffee shop would not sell electronics, and a tattoo parlor would not hire teenagers.
- Reflect the Economy Appropriately. Goods/services must be reasonably balanced within the economy. Prices may be based on Japanโs current economy.
- Stay Active. Inactive businesses may go bankrupt and risk being foreclosed if left unattended for 2 OOC months.
- Keep Shops Open to RP and avoid using your shop purely for storage or as private housing; it should encourage public roleplay.
- Approval for Major Changes, Large renovations, expansions, or business type changes requires faction lead approval.
- Comply with IRP Laws. Your business is subject to in-character rules, taxes, and consequences.
