Whatโs your IGN?: Christianic
Whatโs your Discord Tag?: zombiyara
Do you have any alternative accounts?: No
Do you have a functioning microphone?: Yes
How old are you?: 19
Have you worked in teams like this before?: No
Do you have any previous experience?: Experience regarding roleplay around the supernatural, absolutely. I have a Yokai OC of my own, Kaya Michiru. She's a Kappa Musume, which in a nutshell is a Kappa who pretends to be a gorgeous young woman to persuade strangers into giving them free food. While she is both young and pretty, she is not human. While acting as such, however, that would be her role; to gain snacks from unaware, subjecting individuals who would be willing. Once she receives such, she will relentlessly return to their doorstep, asking for the favor of substance over and over again until they A, find out what she truly is, or B, deny her of her requests. My experience regarding this kind of roleplay is solely based off the fact I have been playing this girl for the past 2 years and have done copious amounts of research via folklore and TV shows to play her accurately.
Why are you interested in joining the Spirit Team?: I have not gotten the chance to play the character spoken of up above in quite some time, and seeing as she's one of my favorites, I would really appreciate the chance to be able to play her for myself as well as be able to share her with others!
How did you learn about the server?: via the SRP and Roleplay community.
How do you interpret the role of the Spirit Team, and what are its responsibilities within the server?: I interpret the role of being a Spirit Team member as not only supplying others with the joys of paranormal experiences but also maintaining fruit and substance for the players in the server so that the liveliness of roleplay in the community will never die down. As well as other mundane tasks such as but not limited to; reporting bugs, helping with lore, testing plugins regarding my faction, ETC.
In your own words, explain how spirits, vessels, and occultists differ mechanically and narratively.
Spirits are their own souls, and they wander aimlessly to look for something to entertain themselves with and or to subject themselves to. They are typically portrayed as pranksters, or some sort of unembodied entity.
Vessels are what spirits attach themselves to, supposedly humans and or some other form of being that they can linger by. They are typically portrayed as a being who is actively being possessed in more serious scenarios.
Occultists are typically humans who revel in all the paranormal anomalies of the world. They like to perform rituals and call upon the undead. They are typically portrayed as gothic, and like to make risks as to make contact with anything and everything spooky.
What is the purpose of resonant tools, and why must they be reviewed or signed by the Spirit Team?:
The purpose of resonant tools are to perform an act of luck and or submit the withholder to some sort of designated safety implementation. Such as an Omamori, which is a type of charm which can be selected by the user to offer themselves a type of luck (loosely chosen words to descript this). While an Ofuda for example, will perform spiritual safety by locking in a space by performing the correct procedure to do so by using them.
You are reviewing a Spiritโs application to have Vessels, it is well-written, but slightly exceeds mechanical limits. How do you respond?:
I would personally recommend to the OP that they should adjust their application to meet the requirements more strictly as to what was originally suggested, as well as to give my own suggestions as to what they should adjust in order to be accepted.
How would you handle an application that follows mechanics perfectly but is weak in lore or creativity?:
I would suggest to OP that they rewrite their lore entirely to develop a new story board, as well as to phone a friend to receive assistance and feed back on what they've written.
How do you ensure fairness when reviewing applications from friends or familiar players?:
For this particular situation, it is best to take a step back from the reins of your relationship with said person, and to look at the depth of everything they've written. At the end of the day, you do not want someone bringing the team down with their lack of skill, even if they are someone who is close to you.
Do you understand that if you are caught acting biased, or making unfair judgement calls, you can and will be removed?: Of course!
