This section of the rulebook covers the use of software and client modifications while playing on Yurei-Jima.

1. Minecraft Clients
Yurei-Jima does not restrict players on the minecraft client they use to connect. While we have an official Modrinth modpack for players to use, there is no problem with porting these to other clients so long as they do not include exploits or any other type of malicious activity.

You are free to alter this modpack at any time, however please keep in mind the following types of mods are banned.

  • 1.1. Movement. Any mod altering player movement or interactions, this is outlined as bunny-hopping, spinners, autoclickers, speed/flyhacks or anti-afk mods.
    • 1.1a. Auto-Run. Auto-Run is permitted, however only for roleplay purposes, ie, walking while roleplaying.
  • 1.2. Camera Angles. Any mod that allows unfair advantages to visibility, ie, FreeCam.
    • 1.2a. FreeLook. FreeLook is allowed solely for content creation, such as screenshots or making videos.
  • 1.3. Asset Theft. Any mod that may extract, copy, or compromise any part of the server’s assets. This includes builds, models, plugins etc.
Despite this, there are plenty of other types of mods you are allowed to add, outlined in the following.
  • 1.4. Shaders. Shaders, or visual modifications that affect the player’s brightness and gamma levels.
  • 1.5. Maps. Minimap mods, so long as player radars are disabled.
  • 1.6. Playermodels. Mods that alter your avatar’s appearance, like Figura, Essential Client, or Custom Player Models, must comply with our Playermodel Guidelines.
Staff Management reserves the right to alter this list at any time.

2. Playermodel Guidelines
Mentioned prior, there are numerous mods which allow players to alter their appearance. Yurei-Jima’s main supported appearance mod is Figura.

  • 2.1. Vanilla Compatibility. Players must understand that any modification to your playermodel cannot be taken in canon. Please keep your playermodel and skin matching as closely as possible.
    • Spirit characters are the sole exception, though a spirit’s player must be able to properly disclose a spirit’s appearance for vanilla clients.
  • 2.2. NSFW Content. Any sort of NSFW, or overtly suggestive playermodel is explicitly banned. This includes, but is not limited to nudity, accentuated curvature, or excessive body physics.
  • 2.3. Body Modifications. Your playermodel must be kept as realistic as Minecraftly possible. This includes, but is not limited to realistic and distinguishable limbs, torso, and a head, with no unnatural additions.
    • Spirit characters are the sole exception, though a spirit’s player must be able to properly disclose a spirit’s appearance for vanilla clients.
  • 2.4. Accessories. Unfortunately, accessories and item reskins are not permitted, as these conflict with our custom item packages. This includes, but is not limited to glasses, hats, piercings, helmets, food, and weaponry.
  • 2.5. Audio Integrations. Players may utilize sound integrations, animations, and emotes, so long as they are not inappropriate or disruptive to other players.

All rules in our rulebook are subject to change through community upvote and staff revisions.
