This rulebook section refers to all rules and guidelines that all players must follow regardless of their rank, role or status within the server.
1. Be Civil with your Peers
You must maintain a cordial relationship with your fellow writers on the server. A community is built upon the people who participate, so please try your best to encourage participation and growth, be considerate of others’, and please be patient with new or incoming writers.
- 1.1. Boundaries. Every player by default has the right to leave a conversation they do not wish to participate in anymore, regardless of previous enthusiasm.
2. Final Verdict
We heavily encourage all players to settle disputes amongst one another in a respectful manner, and consider this a last resort. However, if there comes a time where two players cannot agree with a decision, they may ask for a staff member to intervene with a “Final Verdict”.
While we acknowledge the possibility that you may disagree with another’s decision, it is expected that this final verdict is met with compliance from both parties, especially if it is to prevent any further escalation.
- 2.1. Management Support. If you believe a situation was not handled properly by a staff member, you may reach out to Staff Management directly via Discord support in order to report this interaction and get a different perspective on this matter.
3. User Integrity and Honor
We encourage all players to interact with one another on the basis of respect, integrity, and honor. Meaning, we expect all players to be participating with this general mindset when it comes to planning out scenes, projects, or interacting with others and their creative work.
- 3.1. Honesty. When creating a report, you are expected to maintain complete honesty with the responding staff member to ensure the process goes as smoothly as possible. This means that any potentially sensitive information you share must be true and should not be withheld from staff for malicious purposes.
- 3.2. Hearsay. If you have a concern you'd like to discuss with staff, please follow the steps found at the bottom of this page. You should not reach out to other players so they can talk to a staff member on your behalf. This practice is disallowed, as there is no way of validating information shared if not from the parties involved.
4. Advertising
You may advertise any product or service you wish based on your comfort level of posting your work with your information listed online for others to see.
All advertisements must abide by our content rules. You may not post any misleading ads, links, or services.
- 4.1. Validity. All products and/or services advertised must specify if they are or aren’t affiliated with Yurei-Jima.
- 4.2. Misleading. All products and/or services advertised must be sold exactly as stated. There will be no leniency for scams or misleading services.
- 4.3. Soliciting. You may not privately contact players who have not consented to being shown the product you are advertising.
5. User Language Moderation
The most commonly spoken and written language on this server is English, as our basis of creation was by English-speaking users.
All incoming players will be expected to navigate our server, forums, and player interactions using mainly the English language for accessible moderation.
- 5.1. Foreign Humor. Exceptions can be made in out-of-character channels for innocent jokes, memes, or foreign-language text with an attached English translation for moderation purposes.
6. Sharing Content
Players may not send any information and/or content that will potentially trigger unruly reactions and/or conversations.
All prohibited content is final. All players will be expected to adhere to these guidelines.
This includes, but is not limited to:
- 6.1. Sexual Content. Any suggestive comments or sexual content is strictly forbidden, regardless of consent. When it comes to sharing creative pieces, NSFW and suggestive content is also prohibited.
- 6.2. Oppressive Content. Any comments including oppressive behavior towards any marginalized groups are strictly forbidden.
- 6.3. Gore & Self Harm. Any content containing real-life gore or self-harm is strictly forbidden.
- 6.4. Real-Life Information. When it comes to sharing real-life information, you must not post any potentially compromising information or ways that can facilitate the act of tracking down your digital footprint. This is a precautionary measure for the safety of our playerbase.
This includes, but is not limited to:
- Selfies or photos of yourself
- Photos or names whose location can be easily tracked down
- Links to personal social media (Facebook, Instagram, etc.)
7. Requesting Support
In Yurei-Jima, there are several ways you may request support. In order to know which channel you should use to request this help from, you must follow the order of priority seen below, skipping the channels that you are unable to use for a reasonable cause.
- 7.1. In-Game Support. You may ask for help in game by using the following commands:
- /quicksupport. Command used for simple or urgent inquiries. Any messages sent here are not saved, meaning that staff may sometimes not be reachable through here.
- /ticket. Command used for more complex inquiries. You may also use this command if you did not receive any support from /quicksupport. A staff response is always assured when using this channel.
- 7.2. Discord Support. If you are not able to log on the server, you may create a ticket in our Discord Server.
- 7.3. Forums Support. If you are unable to reach out to staff through the two previous channels, you can also make a support thread in the corresponding Staff Support category.
- 7.4. Email support. If all other channels aren’t suitable for your inquiry or you are unable to access/use them, you may ultimately send us a support email to [email protected].
- This is considered the last step in the chain of support, meaning that if you’re unable to receive support from this channel, your inquiry may be permanently marked as dismissed.
8. Staff-Action Appeals
If any action has been taken against you by our staff team, you have the option to know more about the context of it or appeal any punishment given to have it removed from your record.
However, staff may choose to take precautionary safety measures if the action taken against you is due to breaking the Terms of Service on any network we operate on.
- 8.1. Explanation Provided. All staff members are required to log any action taken against a player with a provided reason.
Players may open a Discord or Forums support ticket to learn about the reason behind. This channel is solely used to learn more about the context behind this incident; and any attempts to appeal in the ticket will result in a redirect to the proper channels. Acting belligerent towards staff will result in an immediate closing of the support ticket.
- This process shouldn’t take longer than 2 days to be assessed.
- 8.2. Action Appeals. If staff take action against you, and you do not have access to the Discord server, you have the option to submit a punishment appeal on our forums.
If the reasoning provided is unclear, you are able to ask for clarification through a staff support ticket also found on our forums. Once clarity has been provided, you may submit an appeal if applicable to your situation and get the punishment taken off your record.
If you are aware of the reasoning behind punishment given, you may take action to appeal if no constraints have been stated otherwise (Ex. “Unappealable”, “Appeal Cooldown”, etc.).
- This process shouldn’t take longer than 14 days to be assessed.
9. Forum Applications
When it comes to applying for certain roles, you will need to use the server forums to locate the desired application guidelines. When clicking the option to submit a new thread, you will be prompted with the format automatically, though you may also check the pinned thread in your role’s corresponding sub-forums. When posting applications, you must:
- 9.1. Guidelines. Follow the guidelines specified in the format and informative pinned thread.
- 9.2. Patience. Do not ask or open tickets for staff to review your unreviewed application. Most application waves announced will have a set time of review.
- 9.3. Rejection. If not specified in your post’s response, you may ask for an explanation of why your application was rejected by opening a Discord or Forums ticket.
10. Store-Related Procedures
Yurei-Jima offers several packages that players may purchase to enhance their roleplay experiences on the server. Any packages must be bought directly from our server store (yurei-jima.tebex.io). Should any problems arise in the purchasing process, refer to the guidelines below.

11. Player Reports
Player Reports may be submitted through a variety of methods. For longer and more in depth reports, we ask that you utilize our forums, or discord ticket channel. For simple or time sensitive reports, you may utilize the in-game support commands.
- 11.1. Transparency. Staff have the authorization and obligation to let you know the actions carried out for your report.
- 11.2. Evidence. Player reports require credible evidence to determine what rule a reported player broke. Staff members have access to omni-ing chat, and can utilize such to track down specific messages.
- 11.3. Review Time. Typically, a player report should not take longer than 5 days to be processed. Should the report require more evidence, or is much more complex than anticipated, we urge players to be patient with staff.
- 11.4. Staff Reports. In the instance a staff member is the subject of a report, please fill out a Staff Report form found on our forums.
- Please allow up to 14 days for Staff Management to review your report.
