What type of company are you applying for? (Business or Shop):

Business, specifically a modeling agency.

What will the company’s name be?:

Komorebi Kirei
木漏れ日きれい

2025_09_20_0t0_Kleki.png
[Logo is still in the works! Gone through a few designs but I’ve liked this one the best so far ^_^]

What kinds of services or items will your company offer?:

The general gist of the company is to provide advertisement for boutiques, shops, and up and coming designers + general entertainment for the public!

Modelling Shows:

Partnering with boutiques, Komorebi Kirei will attempt to host modelling shows once or twice a month to showcase outfits made by that boutique’s tailors! Anyone will be allowed to attend such shows for free, as they’re a way to attract attention and sales to boutiques while providing entertainment even to those who don’t end up ordering tailoring services.

There will be many accessory shops out there who might want to showcase their items, and making it a widescale event rather than just showing off during opening days allows for more advertisement and attention to their store. Showing off how jewellery, hats, bags, and other items look on a model could make sales for those items increase, benefitting the shops we’d partner with.

While the main focus is on official boutiques and shops, letting individual designers possibly rent the place for a little to showcase their work specifically, encouraging people to be creative and giving more options than simply partnering with other companies!

Magazines:

An entire event is a LOT of work. . easier ways to advertise would be the magazines we’d create! Managers, stylists, and models would work together to do photoshoots, showcase recent shows, partnerships, and comment on the latest fashion trend - no need to be out of season with us around! The design of the magazines would be up to stylists to handle, using whatever tools they’re most comfortable using [Canva, IbisPaint, Procreate, etc] while using examples of models in sponsored outfits. We’d have photoshoots for these, which models could gain quota from.

While I’m not yet sure how we’d advertise these, since Discord can only do so much, we may post them on forums or advertise them in the actual server. [I’m sure once things are more finished, I’ll have more of an idea of how people would see these.]

Workshops:

Plenty of aspiring models might not know how to get started - so offering workshops and programs for those interested in modelling to get involved beforehand with the business would be useful for their future career! While not only teaching them techniques and how the job works, the industry can be a bit toxic and dangerous - teaching them to look out for those signs of shadier deals, not so great demands, and toxic work environments could give them that push towards a healthier work-life than if they didn’t have that initial guidance.

We’d host these occasionally, every few months [Obviously not as often as shows or magazines] and take in a few applicants to work with models. While they wouldn’t be doing any actual shows themselves, they’d see the ins and outs of the agency, guided by our employees! Stylists would help do their makeup, they’d see what photoshoots are like, and spend about a week or so getting used to the environment and workload. After the program is done, the people who attended might have a better chance later on when applying for the actual job!

How will your company be unique?:

While tailoring companies themselves can always hire their own models and branch out in services, it feels less IC focused than a company dedicated to modelling might be. This company would allow for more interaction between businesses - benefitting boutique and shop owners that already have a lot on their plate, the issue of advertising and showing off new products would fall to us instead!

While I’m sure a modelling agency isn’t the newest idea in the book, it sure would be an interesting and even useful addition to a city setting like Norowarejima.

ICLY [though I understand this application is meant to be more OOC focused, this is an important detail to the business as a whole that’s a driving factor and goal of both the CEO character I have in mind and the direction the company wishes to go!] Komorebi Kirei is meant to break away from the toxic moulds typical of the modelling industry. Meaning to have a better, closer relationship with our employees and a healthier understanding of beauty.

Where do you plan for your building to be located?:

I plan for the building to be located in the busy city!

Do you have a designated builder for your company’s building?:

I do not! I’m a little intimidated to ask. . .

Please show at least 5 references for the exterior and interior of your company building:

It was . . so hard to find these images and they still aren’t EXACTLY right but I will add little notes!

Screenshot 2025-09-20 193430.png
This would be the exterior of the building! Though I’d like for it to be just a tad shorter and wider, moreso that we could fit things like a runway on the bottom floor and act less as a traditional office space, more of an area to host a few shows and feel more comfortable. The colouring would be focused on a white building with wooden accents + a pink sign with the company name [probably a custom would fit better, which I’m willing to buy], and there’d be more a focus on big windows to allow in natural light. This isn’t something I’m set in stone with, and a lot of the exterior will preferably be based on how the surrounding city looks with some extra bits and bobs to make it pop!

Screenshot 2025-09-20 193440.png
This would be the lobby! With the wood accents preferably being a darker colour, perhaps spruce or dark oak, to contrast with the mainly white and light pink theme for lights and wallpapers. We’d have some posters around with our top models, photoshoots, magazines, etc. A nice sitting area, lots of foliage and plotted plants around, and either a chandelier or skylight depending on space! Indoor balconies from most floors will look down to this area. Though I don’t plan for it to be huge as to conserve space for other, more important areas.

Screenshot 2025-09-20 193451.png
Our first floor’s main feature would be the runway room! This is where we would host shows that don’t take place in any special area. This is the only room that would be fully open to the public during events and would feature audience chairs on either side. Colouring would follow with the theme of the rest of the building [dark neutral colours, white, and pink] though the audience area will be a bit darker than the stage, which will have a lot more pink and white accents and have lots to draw attention to. This would likely take up most if not all of the rest of the ground floor besides a dressing room area behind it.

Screenshot 2025-09-20 193503.pngScreenshot 2025-09-20 193520.png
The next few floors would be dedicated to the models and stylists! These would be home to the dressing rooms, closets, makeup areas, photography sets, etc. Each model would get their own desk and stylist their own dedicated tiny studio [and if they stay with the company long enough, possibly be able to personalise it!]. This is mostly an area to store sponsored items, roleplay, take photos, etc. Just a space for the models and stylists to use as they please.

Screenshot 2025-09-20 193544.png
The top floor! This is where we’d situate the managers, breakroom, and my office. Each manager will get their own office, since there will only be 2-3. The breakroom will hopefully be a place for every employee to show up and interact with each other beyond just work! I want to encourage ICLY interaction and having a nice space for them to do so does help a lot with that. Of course, colouring stays the same for the whole building. We may have a board and posters up here with employee of the month, this month's shows and other projects, and a few encouraging statements. I want this to be comfortable!

[I had more pictures but I'm only allowed to attach ten files to this.]

The final aspect, which I don’t have a picture for, doesn’t
need to be implemented, but would be nice to see anyway! The rooftop being blank doesn’t matter all too much, but possibly having a decorated rooftop with a mini runway, plants, tables, and overall a nice place to host a small event would be lovely and give more areas to branch out roleplay wise!

Even with a more modern theme in mind, I do wish to capture a slight traditional inspiration with some of the architecture and furniture inside and outside the building. The idea in mind being that maybe an old building was renovated into the modelling agency [possibly adding a little lore to the actual building?? Hopefully??? But that does depend on what’s okay to do!!]. How I’ll do that will mostly rely on what architecture you’d commonly see in Norowarejima.

In short! I’m pretty flexible with my ideas on the design, of course there are some things I’m more set on having [colour palette, comfortable areas, etc], but if something isn’t possible, realistic to the surroundings, or just wouldn’t be feasible with size, I’m okay with adjusting it however need be. Komorebi is a Japanese word describing sunlight filtering through leaves, creating that beautiful dappled light effect you see. I want to incorporate the name into the design, with a lot of natural inspiration and foliage for both the exterior and interior! If I’m accepted, I’ll try and sketch out a more put together design that would make a little more sense than these rambles.

How do you intend to stay active?:

I intend to stay pretty active! Even during times when I won’t be on the server itself, I still plan to keep a general presence through Discord, planning and managing events, employees, etc.

We won’t only be focused on doing events and providing magazines, but I plan to hire those that will remain active and interact with each other often. The purpose of this agency OOCLY isn’t just to provide services, but to give an interesting work environment and actually develop these characters people dedicate to this industry. I understand first-hand how hard it can be at times to connect with others in team RP settings, even with events and working together, it can be pretty difficult to connect with those ICLY that don’t wish to. I want to make this a space where people have fun RPing their hearts out and are able to have these IC connections and experiences that make people want to hang around and actually dedicate their time.

This type of business involves a lot of reaching out to others! Partnering involves conversation, sorting out times, planning, etc. and I know I’ll have to be around a lot to manage all those, which I’m willing to do. Even with the managers I’d employ to help out at times [mostly so I don’t overwhelm myself, overworking yourself is never great. A little help is needed at times.] I will be the one mostly reaching out and making these partnerships.

Since we’d have regular events, both for the general public and even some private little work parties [make that IC work environment interesting!], there wouldn’t be any issue with making sure the company stays active.

How will you pay your employees?:

I plan to use a quota system for each employee to use and be provided money at the end of the month based on the amount of quota they got!

Out of 10 quota per month, each quota will equal 10,000, resulting in a maximum of a 100,000 paycheck. [Though different roles with different duties will have different quota requirements, I will try to keep them relatively the same!]

Models will gain quota from shows, starring in photoshoots, helping out with workshops, and other various ways to gain quota through interactions and getting as involved as they can.

Stylists will gain quota from taking photos, IC interactions such as doing a model's makeup, fixing any issues with transferring outfits to skins, and organising magazines.

Managers would gain quota from organising events such as shows or workshops, making sure everything is in check with their section [the quota of their section would affect their quota, so add incentive to encourage employees!], and generally helping out with any of my duties.

How many employees will you hire, and what will their roles be?:

CEO
Hi!!! This will hopefully be me! I’ll be the one owning the company and managing it. Directing everyone's tasks and keeping the company moving, in short at least. There’ll be numerous jobs I’ll be taking care of, mostly those that don’t fall to my managers. Handling finances, paying my employees, etc.
MANAGERS
2-3 trusted individuals that will be taking care of partnerships, keeping everyone on task, hiring models and stylists, and making sure those that we keep employed are doing their work. They’d also likely act as moderators in the discord if need be, and report any OOC issues to staff if I haven’t already. They mostly act as my helpers in a way!
I likely won’t have many if any of these until later on, since this would involve promoting someone who’s done well both ICLY and OOCLY and I know I could trust with these duties rather than applying for it initially.
STYLISTS
4-6 skilled roleplayers, artists/photographers, essentially people willing to do the more artsy side of this job. They’d be the one setting up magazines, taking photos during photoshoots, adjusting and picking outfits to better fit the model if needed, doing their makeup ICLY, transferring outfits to bases, etc.

They act as the creative behind the scenes employees of Komorebi Kirei! Quiet, but essential to the environment.
Applications for this role would be a bit harsher than for the models role, since their skills with roleplay [especially detailing!], skins, and art would come into play.
MODELS
The main face of the company! I believe it’s pretty obvious what these guys do. About 10 individuals starring in photoshoots, shows, magazines, etc. These will be the focus of Komorebi Kirei, and a lot of effort will be made to make sure their experience is comfortable!

Obviously hiring will depend on how good the base looks with different kinds of outfits + how good their roleplay skills are and attitude towards other people [moreso OOCLY! While of course there is some IC influence in hiring, we’ll only judge attitude in the OOC factor if it’s the person being rude and not the character. IC ≠ OOC.]

This would be a company with around 18-20 people max, including myself.
