How did you learn about the server?
I learned about Yurei-Jima through a mix of YouTube and friends! When I first started getting into the roleplay scene, I was watching a lot of Minecraft roleplay server-related YouTube videos in my free time to try and explore different options to see which community I would fit into best. After watching a few videos, eventually YRP-related progress update videos started showing up in my recommended, and I liked the premise of the server, but didn't know it had a community I could join at the time.
Fast forward a couple of weeks, and my friend who got me into Minecraft roleplay sent me an invite to the YRP discord server! Explaining that it's in Beta-Testing, but it seems like something we should try to be a part of and keep up with. Now I'm often looking at the channels and keeping up with the updates within the server, being hooked on a lot of the different details. Which led me to stay in the community, and I am now preparing for release.
Why do you wish to become a beta tester?
YRP has a lovely community that truly connects, from the very sweet and welcoming staff members to the vibrant server members. I've been on many servers with many different people, but surprisingly, it's been rare to come across a community that cares about its players. I've loved interacting with the community thus far. It's much more refreshing, even though I don't talk as much as I hope to in the future. The members of staff work hard to ensure there aren't bugs and to fix issues before the server release. It's admirable to me, considering you don't find that in a lot of other servers.
I'd love to be a beta-tester to help make an actual difference to the server, and to be honest about any problems or bugs I may come across. I would like to give my input, and am really eager to test drive any current or future features that may be implemented. The server is already super exciting in concept, and I'm sure there's plenty more to come. I want to make a difference in a community that I think I'll genuinely enjoy being a part of. I'm excited to contribute even if it's just reporting some bugs or speaking on the roleplay experience!
What do you expect to do once the server releases?
I hope to be involved in the community teams upon release! I have some experience in tailoring to work on behind the scenes, and I'd love to work on my building as well. I've found the best way to smooth out my characters and learn how they would act is by playing them out. (Of course, I wouldn't need to be a beta-tester to achieve that.) I'm banking on making new friends and interacting with people in a much friendlier space.
I would also like to help new players who may have never played on a server like this before. I want to contribute to a more positive experience for them, considering that in many other spaces, new players are ignored or shamed simply for being new. I believe that players cannot learn if they're not given the opportunity to, especially when it's harder for them to make friends with other people. I want to help others not be intimidated about interacting with the environment and other players! I want to drive the narrative of the server forward to help develop different stories and create fun experiences for everyone.

I do have dyslexia and may struggle understanding different social ques.

- I will not abuse, hide, or lie about any bugs or unintended features that I find on the server. In such case, I will report it via Discord/Forums channels.
- I understand that any content found on the server is, by default, public and shareable. Nonetheless, I will not share any contents that have been explicitly marked as "private" or "not available for public".
- I will be active as a beta tester, periodically logging on and getting pre-release updates on the server while also researching which aspects of the server could be improved.
- I will follow all rules stated in the rulebook and follow the staff team's instructions when necessary for the safety of the server.
- I may change the style of this thread to improve its readability, but I will not change or skip any questions found in the format.
